IS IT CORRECT TO SAY GOOD BYE TO JEE?

JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) is the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology(IIT)
JEE is one of the toughest entrance examination all over the world. IITs are famous for the JEE only. But , as an IITIAN , I was very much upset when I listen about only one entrance exam all over the country and no JEE. One who had appeared JEE can say upto what level JEE tests a student's intelligence, speed, accuracy, comprehensibility and many more within a limited span of 6 hours. Though it does not guarantee about all the creams are selected but it ensures that who ever is selected is having a good command over PCM and have good reasoning powers. The selection procedure ensures so. In JEE 2011, about 5 lakh students were there out of them only 9000 students selected.
Now, question is that if a single exam will be held than what is the problem? The answer from my side is JEE asks different types of questions i.e. single option, multiple option,comprehension,matrix-match, integer types etc. Can the one entrance system will ask these questions? A simple answer from your side will be yes, what is the problem? The problem will be that the level of question asked in jee can not be maintained. So,there will be less exercise of the cream brains of India, which will obviously make them feel unworthy to compete with students from other country(WHICH IS JUST OPPOSITE TO THE SYSTEM NOW). One will argue that , the level of the exam will be up to mark of JEE. Then my mind says something. If you make the question level up- to the mark of JEE in the one-entrance pattern then what is about the students of low level of intelligence? They will definitely get negative marks , if the question level is mentioned so.Then how will you rank them? If you rank according to their marks then a student scoring 0 mark will get a better rank than the student scoring negative mark , i.e. a student can get 0 marks if he didn't attempt any question. So, a student trying to solve (working person) will get lesser rank then who didn't tried at all.But according to a common proverb, it is better to fail in trial rather than not to try. Another question how will you rank the students getting 0 marks in all subject. Is their anybody who is better than others (the zero scorers)?Ultimately you will have to decrease the question level.
Another point everybody arguing is that the tension will be less on a student. But if you think along another dimension that if a good student fails to perform well in the exam day he will be frustrated , which may repel him to do .......... Now, if a student can not perform well in a exam he has other exams to correct his errors . But in one entrance system he will have to wait for one year at least or have to deviate from his aim.Which I think is not a good step neither for the student nor for the society.
If I were the rule-maker then I would never dream so. So let the nation think about its destiny ..........
